Man buys $8000 worth of Forever Stamps as an investment scheme

A Pennsylvania man shelled out $8,000 to purchase nearly 20,000 Forever Stamps in 2007. The new stamps have been popular, but “that’s really a rare occurrence for somebody to buy that many,” said Mark Hnasko, a spokesman for the USPS in central Pennsylvania.

$8000 worth of Forever Stamps at the time equaled 19,512 stamps.
